COVID 19 Safety
Osteopaths are listed in the Coronavirus Act 2020 as health service providers and deemed essential in providing care to our local community. As a regulated healthcare professional, I continue to follow stringent safety protocols in line with both Government and the General Osteopathic Council guidelines, including the use of medical grade PPE and Infection Control Procedures.
Enhanced safety at your appointment
-
Pre appointment screening to make sure that it safe for you to attend your appointment.
-
I have enhanced cleaning measures in place using anti-viral sprays and wipes to clean treatment room couch, surfaces and card payment terminal between patients and for frequent cleaning of high-touch points around the clinic room.
-
I wear NHS-grade PPE to protect you (and have selected eco-friendly options wherever possible). I use FRSM type IIR surgical masks and disposable nitrile gloves. I no longer use disposable aprons and safety glasses as a matter of course but can do for individual treatment if requested. In addition, I thoroughly wash hands before and after each patient.
-
Treatment couches and pillows are covered with disposable or wipeable coverings.
-
Hand-gel sanitiser is provided for all patients.
-
Appointment slots are timed to allow adequate time for cleaning.
